there are so many neat restaurants, but there are few that really have character. I love places where you feel at home and you can eat without borrowing from your mortgage. One of my
favorites in central Florida is Chalet Suzanne, mostly because it is so quirky but wonderful. You can stay there too and they even have their own airport. I love places wit a view but since
real estate has become so expensive there are very few that are still operating with really good food.
In St Petersburg there is a place called Rosie's clam Shack that serves whole belly clams. Rosie is a middle aged gal who is quite a pistol. She comes out and talks to you and you laugh. She
rides an old Harley Davidson which is turquoise I think. I love places with that kind of character.

it depends on the occasion: i love easy food at places like cosi (http://www.getcosi.com/) its better quality than fast food, and sooo much healthier. for nice dinners, though, i love the Chart House (http://www.chart-house.com/). it's really a special occasion place, and pretty expensive, but the one across the river from New York City has the most spectacular view- you can watch the NYC skyline light up as it gets dark, so I would really recommend going there once if you live anywhere close to the city
